(ISC)2 refreshing change in CISSP syllabus- Whats New?

4. Communications and Network Security (Designing and Protecting Network Security)

5. Identity and Access Management (Controlling Access and Managing Identity)

6. Security Assessment and Testing (Designing, Performing, and Analyzing Security Testing)

7. Security Operations (Foundational Concepts, Investigations, Incident Management, Disaster Recovery)

8. Software Development Security (Understanding, Applying, and Enforcing Software Security)

(ISC)2 has assured that although no content matter has been eliminated from the syllabus, this has been revised and restructured in order to comprise the most recent information along with the best methods to the worldwide information security businesses. (ISC)2 also advised that those are presently preparing for the previous 2012 domains should have their CISSP test before the deadline of 15th April.

Though the syllabus has been modified, the format of the examination remains the same. The students will be given 250 questions and the duration of the exam is also 6 hours. This new examination will be accessible in English language from 15th April, while the exams in other language like French, Portuguese and some others are programmed for 15th May.
